77th Annual Show for the Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA)
Bridge: SAGA Down Under

In a first for Australia, we are looking forward to opening the 77th Annual Show for the Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA)* on 26 March. In a show of thrilling print making virtuosity from members of SAGA some of America's finest print makers strut their stuff 'down under'. It is with great pleasure that FyreGallery will show the 65 works selected by SAGA for this important exhibition. Our thanks go to Pam Koob** for agreeing to adjudicate the selection and to Linda Adato, President of SAGA, for her enthusiastic support for the project since its inception.

2–3 PM SUNDAY 10 MAY—ARTIST TALK BY SUZANNE BELLAMY

FyreGallery: 84 Wallace St Braidwood: 0248421142
All Welcome – Bring your Own Chair – Prepare to be Inspired

Suzanne will be talking about the images she has created for the show in the context of her 30 year association with New Mexico. She says " Sometimes you have to go away from your own land to come home with signs and gateways to what it is that is your own work. The combination of the astronomical, archaeological and mystical, grounded in mud and earth and the creative is a rare thrill. Through my encounter with O’Keeffe and New Mexico, I found something of a model of how to live on land suffused with ancient cultures, living thriving indigenous traditions and eccentric individual artists. It is a border country between cultures in time, and a space in the sky. This was a perfect counter-point for an Australian woman artist living in troubled times."

Come and hear Suzanne on 10 May. I know you will be inspired.

A limited number of Illustrated catalogues are still available for $25. See the Exhibitions sections.
